Harps for Sale or Rent

Elizabeth is now offering a selection of folk harps for sale by-appointment in her home studio, including brand new Dusty Strings and Triplett harps, and a variety of used harps, many in updated condition.  To learn more about the harp store, and to see our current offerings, please visit: www.folkharpsanctuary.com

If you'd prefer to start with a rental, Elizabeth has a wide variety of lever harps for rent, with prices ranging from $30/month for a leverless 26 string harp to $85/month for a high-end, fully-levered floor harp with a pickup and LED lights.  Most fully-levered harps range from $55 to $75, depending on their size, age, and maker.

A two month minimum is required for all rentals, with first and last month's rent required in advance.  After the initial 2 month period, harps rent on a month-to-month basis.

Please note that 30 days notice is required for rental returns.  The only exception to this is if renter purchases an instrument from Elizabeth's harp store, in which case the 30 days notice requirement is waived.

For renters who are not in Elizabeth's lesson program, harp rent is due on the 1st of the month and must be paid no later than the 5th.  Any payments that come in after the 5th of the month are subject to a $10 late fee for each week that the rental payment is overdue (i.e. $10 on the 6th of the month, $20 on the 13th, $30 on the 20th, etc).  For Elizabeth's students, late fees are waived and rental fees are due at the first lesson of the month.

Renters must be 18 or over, and have current Oregon or Washington ID.

Accepted payment methods include cash, Venmo; CashApp; Paypal ("friends and family" option only, please); and Zelle.

Renters are responsible for replacing any broken strings, which can be purchased independently, or directly from Elizabeth.  (Be warned: strings do sometimes break spontaneously).  All harps have custom string sets, so any replacement string must meet the maker's specifications, otherwise they might compromise structural integrity of the harp.

Harps must be stored carefully in a humidity and temperature-controlled environment and never subject to temperature extremes.  NEVER LEAVE A HARP IN A HOT CAR!!!
